We always have people with a variety of eating preferences & palates attending our BBQ's. In response, I've always had fun experimenting with flavors and making new burgers for our get-togethers. This time I want to share one that was tried and tested with our family recently and is sure to be a hit at your summer BBQ's. This soy-free veggie burger is packed with flavor, that plays off the herby cilantro and spicy BBQ sauce, topped with an avocado slice on a sesame seed bun. The days are getting longer, temperatures are warming up and that means Summer is right around the corner! It also means we have been spending even more time in the back yard playing with Sita and gardening. When we get a little too hot I usually make us some cool refreshing beverage or treat, so it only seemed fair to do the same for Sita! So now she can have some tasty, healthy frozen dog treats and cool down after that intense game of fetch. 

These 3 ingredient frozen treats are so easy to prepare and your pup will approve!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup Blueberries & Strawberries, Minced
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1/4 Water
  • Silicone Ice Cube Tray

Instructions

  1. Mince and mix the berries well. Mix the water and yogurt until it's a uniform consistency.
  2. Put a small amount of fruits in each ice cube well, than top off with the yogurt water mixture.
  3. Place in the freezer for about an 1hr depending on how thick the cubes are.
  4. Store in a ziploc bag in the freezer for up to a month.
Yield: Makes 20 1" treats
Prep Time: 5 mins.
Cook time: 1 hrs.
Total time: 1 hrs. 5 mins.
