Hispanic Heritage Month Recipes

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Each year, from September 15 to October 15 Americans celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. 2021 was especially significant because it was the 200th anniversary of Costa Rican Independence from Spain. Here are a few traditional & unique Latin American recipes you may want to add to your menu: 

Banana & Peanut Butter Yogurt Bites - Frozen Dog Treats

 



Today is Sita's 2nd Gotcha Day! It only seems fair to give her special treats on her special day. Given that Summer is in full swing with very high temp, a refreshing cool treat, is the order of the day. 
These 4 ingredient frozen treats are so easy to prepare and your pup will approve!
Here's the recipe:

Banana & Peanut Butter Yogurt Bites - Frozen Dog Treats

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 tsp Peanut Butter Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1/4 Water
  • Silicone Ice Cube Tray

Instructions

  1. Add Banana, Peanut Butter Powder, yogurt, and water to a blender and mix until it's a uniform consistency.
  2. Put a small amount in each ice cube well, then place in the freezer for about an 1hr depending on how thick the cubes are.
  3. Store in a ziploc bag in the freezer for up to a month.
Yield: Makes 20 1" treats
Prep Time: 5 mins. 
Cook time: 1 hrs.
Total time: 1 hrs. 5 mins.
