Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Each year, from September 15 to October 15 Americans celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. 2021 was especially significant because it was the 200th anniversary of Costa Rican Independence from Spain. Here are a few traditional & unique Latin American recipes you may want to add to your menu: 

Frozen Watermelon - Dog Treats


Summer is coming in hot! More time outside in very high temperatures means a refreshing cool treat is the order of the day. It's time to breakout the ice molds and start making frozen treats to cool down after long summer walkies.

Frozen Watermelon - Dog Treats

These 3 ingredient puppy popsicles are so easy to prepare!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Watermelon
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Water
  • 1/4 Water
  • Silicone Ice Cube Tray

Instructions

  1. Add Watermelon, Coconut Water, and water to a blender and mix until it's a uniform consistency.
  2. Put a small amount in each ice cube well, then place in the freezer for about an 1hr depending on how thick the cubes are.
  3. Store in a ziploc bag in the freezer for up to a month.
Yield: Makes 20 1" treats
Prep Time: 5 mins. Cook time: 1 hrs. Total time: 1 hrs. 5 mins.
