In My Kitchen - April 2015

It's time for another round of the very cool monthly happening called "In My Kitchen" run by Celia at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial

So here we go....

This Month in my Kitchen...

Spring Crocus

March was in like a lion, and out like a lion! April showers are definitely in the works and soon Spring Flowers! :)

The Kitchen Garden is planned, now just waiting for a few warmer days to begin working outside.

Lovely little Quail Eggs found at the Market. I decided this year to dye them instead of chicken eggs. It's a lot easier to eat 12 quail eggs in a few days than 12 chicken eggs. :)

I used some of the eggs to make Baked Scotch Eggs.

A cute little birdie creamer.

Our homemade beer is ready! Citrus Summer Wheat ~5% ABV
I plan on experimenting with the trub for bread.

Some fresh made Beer Mustard.

A lovely little tea scoop with springtime strawberry tea.

Homemade Queso Blanco, yum!

These very cool 3D cookie cutters I found on clearance!

A little Crocheted Easter gift for Mom's new kitchen.

Please make sure you stop in and take a glance at everyone else's kitchens!

So tell me...What's happening in your kitchen this month?

  1. Your dyed quail eggs look amazing! And they look delicious as scotch eggs :) You make your own beer & cheese, which both look pretty good - I love both beer & cheese. Happy cooking & I'll see you next month for IMK x

  10. What a good idea to use quail eggs for coloring and Scotch eggs! The regular ones are so large. How long did you boil the quail eggs? It's always been something I wondered about.

Love your little chick jug, very cute. I'm glad that spring has finally come to the East coast. You've had a difficult winter.
