Hispanic Heritage Month Recipes
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Each year, from September 15 to October 15 Americans celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. 2021 was especially significant because it was the 200th anniversary of Costa Rican Independence from Spain. Here are a few traditional & unique Latin American recipes you may want to add to your menu:
I LOVE the Native Carolina Mantids! So rare and unusual! Your black bean patties and mesquite smoked pork look and sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this month's kitchen views too!
Hi Joanne! They are so cute aren't they, they are often hard to find and tend to get eating by the much larger Chinese Mantids. Black Bean Patty recipe coming soon, Thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteAll of your garden produce is wonderful. Looking forward to the jalapeño flatbread recipe.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shaheen! It's been crazy hot and humid here but the squash is loving it! :)
DeleteLove all the veggies you are harvesting, especially the snow peas. Where did you get the salt from? I sell it and love the ethos of this company so much :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tandy! I found the salt in a TJ Maxx was curious to try it, that's awesome that you sell it! It truly has a great taste, slightly sweet like I said, and it's great that the company is sustainably harvesting. Now I know who and where to get more, small world! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry, you too! :)
Deleteyeah crazy hot here too for Berlin (considering there is no aircon anywhere it's very unpleasant). Love the coloured raspberries, I've never seen them before (I assume they are all raspberries?) Such a good IMK this month
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Cate! Yes they are raspberries, if you see them get them, they are so much sweeter than the red ones. :)
