We always have people with a variety of eating preferences & palates attending our BBQ's. In response, I've always had fun experimenting with flavors and making new burgers for our get-togethers. This time I want to share one that was tried and tested with our family recently and is sure to be a hit at your summer BBQ's. This soy-free veggie burger is packed with flavor, that plays off the herby cilantro and spicy BBQ sauce, topped with an avocado slice on a sesame seed bun. Holi, also known as the "Festival of Love", the "Festival of Colors" and the "Festival of Spring," is a popular ancient Hindu festival celebrated in the India which has spread to other regions of Asia and the West. It celebrates the arrival of spring, the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna, and also signifies the triumph of good over evil, the victory of Vishnu as Narasimha over the demon Hiranyakashipu. 

Holi celebrations start on the night before where people gather, perform religious rituals in front of a bonfire, and pray that their internal evil be destroyed in the fire. The next morning is a free-for-all, where people smear each other with powdered colors and drench each other with colored water, everyone is fair game! People visit family and friends come together to have fun, laugh and share Holi food and drinks.
